WHO'S KYSD
Background
Khmer Youth and Social Development (KYSD) is a non-profit organization, non partisan Cambodian NGO based
in Phnom Penh, it was established in January 2000 and registered with Ministry of Interior on 25 March, 2003.
Vision and Mission
Vision: KYSD wants to see a peaceful, democratic Cambodia that respects human rights, with a healthy
environment and well-educated population who can contribute to the development of the country.
Mission: KYSD builds the capacity of youth and mobilizes and empowers them to work for social justice,
democracy, and environment protection in Cambodia and the region.
Goal and Objective
Goal: Youth are an active voice for democracy and environmental protection in
Cambodia.
Objective:- Youth in Cambodia and the region are united in a youth network.
- Youth are empowered.
- Youth have increased employment opportunities.
- Social problems and environmental destruction are reduced.
- The Cambodia government considers youth to be partners for the development of the country and
building peace.
- Youth are a force for developing the country and helping their countries
through a spirit of voluntarism
